Gluten Free Chocolate Fudge Bars


  • 1½ cups Live Free Gluten Free All-purpose plain or wholemeal flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • 2 tbspn Gluten Free cocoa powder
  • 185g (6oz) butter, melted
  • ½ tspn vanilla

For chocolate icing:

  • 1 cup Gluten Free icing sugar
  • 2 tbspn Gluten Free cocoa
  • 30g (1oz) butter, melted
  • 1½ tbspn hot water
  • Extra desiccated coconut to sprinkle on top


  1. Put dry ingredients, melted butter and vanilla into bowl; mix well.
  2. Press mixture into 28cmx18cm lamington tin. Bake in a moderate oven for 20mins. Cool in tin.
  3. For icing, sift icing sugar and cocoa into a small bowl, add melted butter and water, mix until smooth.
  4. Spread icing over cooled slice, and sprinkle with extra coconut. Cut into bars once icing has set.
