Gluten Free Batter


  • 3/4 Cup of LFGF Pastry Mix
  • 1 teaspoon LFGF Pastry Mix
  • 2 Tbsp LFGF Chicken Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon Gluten Free baking powder
  • 1 1/4 Cup Water
  • Desired amount of Chef’s choice of Chicken or Fish fillets


  1. Place LFGF Pastry and Chicken Seasoning into a bowl. Mix 1 cup of water, very slowly into the dry mix, then blend until the batter is smooth (add the rest of the water if needed). Please note, the batter will be a bit thicker than wheat batter.
  2. Cover and stand for approx 1 hour.
  3. Just before fryng, beat through 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder (gluten free) and 1 teaspoon of LFGF Pastry Mix.
  4. Add another 1/2 tablespoons of water and mix through.
  5. Fry in hot oil until golden brown.

Serve with hot chips and salad. Enjoy!
